Pet care experience
I love dogs and cats and have been volunteering in MA and NY for years. I now have one 6lb dog and one 17lb cat at home. I rarely take clients now and only after a meet and greet to ensure it is fun for all of us. I have a condo in East Boston that is up one 1/2 flight of stairs (elevator available) and directly adjacent to a multi-acre park. Through I prefer weekends when I can spend playtime with guests, I also work from home most days.

Our puppy Max had a wonderful stay with Laurie (and with her cat Jack). Laurie kept us updated with pictures and messages, so we could tell Max was having a great time. He had good walks and play time with other dogs in the enclosed dog area, and he and Jack became best buddies. Laurie took wonderful care of him. Max and we look forward to the next time when he can stay with Laurie.
I absolutely could not imagine leaving for two weeks and having anyone else take care of Rudy. When I book Laurie to watch Rudy I know that he will be taken care of as if he was her own. She is very reliable and sends photos every 2-3 days. She always responds to my messages within minutes. She takes him for long walks, spends time with him in the dog park, and gives him any medications he might need. Overall, I would highly recommend Laurie and would absolutely book her again in the future.
Laurie was absolutely fantastic. She sent pictures every day, without needing to be asked, and Ellie seemed very happy! We would absolutely recommend her as a very trustworthy sitter!
Laurie was absolutely wonderful. Laurie let my puppy meet her and Jack (her cat) beforehand to make sure things would work out well. Laurie sent me pictures all throughout my puppy's stay and was sure to ask questions about anything to make sure my puppy was well taken care of!

I have a fenced balcony that my pets like to explore for air, but we are directly next to a large park for on-leash walks, 2 blocks from the beach and a 2 minute drive from an off-leash dog park when appropriate.

I previously had an Airedale, and grew up with large breeds, but after being on Rover for a few years found I've been charmed by all sorts.
A typical day
I like to keep pets engaged and feeling secure away from their home and people. Our house is dog and cat safe and all furniture is within limits. I have lots of toys from various sized dogs and cats, but happy to welcome your pet's own supplies. My dog does have a crate that she can retreat to if desired. Typically a quick (sub 15 min) 8 am ish morning walk, breakfast, playtime, longer lunch-time walk and afternoon rest or engaged training, followed by dinner, walk/trip and then play and a quick potty break around 11pm.

I work full-time, mostly from home, so I prefer weekends for more time and attention, but can do longer stays into the week when needed.
