Laurence took my dog Otis in for what was supposed to be 3 nights while I was moving apartments. The drop-off seemed fine and Laurence seemed very nice, except that I had booked him specifically to be near my apartment and he had moved apartments and was on the other side of town, which wasn't updated on rover.com until I had already booked the stay. After the first night I had a hard time getting a hold of Laurence via phone and text and got quite worried. Eventually he called me back and said Otis had fleas and that I had to come get him immediately. At that time Otis was on Paradyne and I hadn't seen any fleas, but I was willing to accommodate. Laurence then asked me to pay for a $150 flea treatment for his home, which I did via Venmo. At that time I also took Otis to the vet and the vet said she didn't even see any fleas. After that, Laurence aggressively asked me for an additional $75 for a follow-up flea treatment and at that point I was feeling pretty uncomfortable and asked to see the receipts, which he assured me I would receive but never did, even after I asked repeatedly for them. I feel like I got swindled and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Laurence was a great host for Ocean! Very responsive, accommodating, and Ocean really enjoyed her stay!
