My first dog experience was with my son’s dog I cared for about 4 years ago. I quickly learned the ropes, going from never having had a dog straight to a German shepherd mix and living with him in NYC. When my son took his dog back, I decided to get my own, only in a more ‘portable’ format. I love to take my dog to the beach, hiking and on walks around the neighborhood. He would be happy to have a companion. He is a norwich terrier. Very social and an all-aroind happy guy! For boarding, small dogs. I can take care of bigger dogs at their owner’s house. I am very responsible. Your dog will be in good hands with me. Try me!

Laurence once looked after my beloved Daisy. I could not have asked for a better dogsitter. Daisy is amazing but she can be very high maintenance. She gets intense social anxiety and is a very picky eater. Laurence was very kind with her, and catered perfectly to her needs. Daisy returned to me very happy and relaxed. Laurence was a great communicator, very accommodating, and helped make my experience as easy as possible. I have been able to observe Laurence with her own dog and other people's dogs. Whether big or small, she understands what dogs need. She is attentive and responsible, and commands respect from them without ever speaking or acting aggressively.
Laurence is an amazing dog mom! She's also my mom! And I've seen her take care of her dog--a Norwich terrier named Gaspard--and my brother's dog--a German Shepherd mix named Mato--over the last five years. She is incredibly attentive and spoils them with activities (hikes, the beach, long walks) and amazing food (homemade dog treats and fresh dog food). She has taken care of both of them at the same time, so she can handle two dogs at once, no problem. Mato is back with my brother, so she only has Gaspard at the moment. Your dog would get to hang out with a fun-loving and playful terrier. He's a small dog, but he has the energy and physical fitness of a big dog. Laurence is a fantastic dog caregiver. Your dog will love its time with Laurence and Gaspard!
Laurence is who I trust to take care of my pup when I'm away! She treats dogs like family in her home and is always taking them on outings (hikes, runs, beach trips). Plus, she makes homemade dog treats. She will do a great job taking care of your dog too!

Of course, i would like to know if the dog has had past issues of fighting with other dogs, biting... i would also like to know the behavior of the dog on the leash (lunging).
A typical day
2-3 walks a day or run at the beach, or hike in the hills. If not going for a long walk at the beach or hike, there will be one eatly morning walk, then mid-morning and finally a last one around 3.

I am freshly retired and usually take my dog for a walk twice a day - one being a long walk or beach run. Now that I am retired, his schedule easily fits into mine and is a high priority in my life.
