I had such high hopes for Lauren's stay with our two dogs because she had come so highly recommended both on Rover.com and from my personal acquaintances. Unfortunately, Lauren had unapproved guests in our home in our absence. The guests were in and out of our house throughout our absence, and she had at least one overnight guest. On the last night of our absence Lauren left our two dogs (one only 6 months old) alone at 10:30pm and returned the next morning to put them in the backyard with food. She left them outside at 7:15am, and we did not return home until after 7pm. Although I had requested pictures and updates, Lauren only sent one after I had confronted her about the people in our house late in the evening. When we returned home we found our garage door and a side gate unlocked. Also, our dogs had both vomited the morning that we left, and I asked Lauren to watch for more symptoms. She told me they were fine, but upon returning home I found four dried piles of dog vomit in high traffic areas. Not only did Lauren not properly care for our dogs, she completely violated my trust. Lauren has apologized for "making me uncomfortable" with the caveat that previous clients had been happy for her to have visitors. After submitting a grievance with Rover.com, I was provided a refund.

Lauren was the best. This was our first time using a service like this so we were a little unsure, but with in minutes of placing my add, Lauren reached out to us. We hit it off over the phone and made our appointment for our meet and greet. She was right on time and stayed to learn all about Rocky and Luna. She bonded quickly with our dogs and I felt very confident that she could be trusted in our home with our girls. During her stay, she kept us updated with photos and short reports on the girls. She always returned my texts within minutes, so I was never worried. When we came home, the house was perfectly clean and the girls were happy as could be. This was a very good decision for us and our dogs and I will certainly use Lauren again and recommend her at anyone who needs a pet sitter. She was wonderful!
