Pet care experience
I've been in the foster pup game for about 4 years now so I've had a variety of breeds stay with me until safely landing in their forever homes. I've acquired 3 little loves of my own along the way (foster fails). I've grown up with dogs prior to that though and honestly can't imagine my life without dogs in it. I know how hard it is to go out of town or need to get away but want someone reliable that will not only keep your pup safe but give them a fun, loving, environment while you're gone. My home has been a retreat for various pups of friends and family. My three babies get along well with other dogs. I have two maltese mixes as well as a boxer/lab mix.
Reviews
Lauren took great care of Coco! We appreciate all the love, snuggles and play time coco received. Lauren’s communication is excellent.
Lauren provided really excellent boarding service. She was flexible when we had changing plans and so understanding. Her communication was excellent. We received updates and super fun videos of our dog playing and she was happy and tired when we got her home. I highly recommend Lauren, she’s a wonderful boarder and really great to work with!
A puppy parent could not ask for a more loving and caring sitter than Lauren. She has a long history of fostering dogs of all abilities, ages, and temperaments. Each one she treats with the same devotion and support as she would expect to be given once they find their forever home and she is tremendously influential and protective of each animal in their forever home search. She will effortlessly go the extra mile for your fur baby with walks, treats, and lots of pets an cuddles. The only negative of having Lauren as a sitter for your pup is that you may become jealous of how much they fall in love with her.
Lauren truly loves dogs! I have taken my Shih Tzu (Buddy) to her home through the day when I have a long day away, and he has stayed on the weekend when I have gone out of town. When he goes there, he runs up to her like a long lost friend. Buddy has Irritable Bowel Disease and has to eat prescription dog food and treats only. I'm assured that she takes the necessary precautions when feeding her dogs, keeping him on his strict diet and healthy. She also sends update pictures to me, assuring me Buddy is enjoying his stay. Lauren is a social worker (again, that caring spirit!), and works from home. This enables her to let Buddy outside as needed, and gives him the human loving he so much craves. I heartily recommend her!

The care your dog receives will be dependent on it's specific needs. I prefer to have the dogs out of their kennel while they're here and they can lounge on any one of my many dog beds scattered about the house. Dogs are also welcome to snuggle on the couch or bed with me unless this is a behavior you don't allow. In those instances, I can help reinforce what you're teaching at home. I have a fenced yard and three pups for your fur baby to play with. They are all rescues and get along with other pups.

Information Lauren W. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know any quirks, behaviors, or special routines ahead of time. I have had plenty of dogs with their own quirks and ways of expressing themselves, so that's not a deal breaker. I just like to know in advance so I can do my best to accommodate their needs and help them feel safe.
A typical day
I work from home so I can cater to whatever needs your dog has when here. If he/enjoys walks, then walks we shall take! If they like to rest on a cozy dog bed or run and play in the backyard, we can do that too! There are numerous potty breaks throughout the day for sure! Just let me know what they need to feel safe and at home and I'll do my best to make it happen.

I work from home with intermittent visits on occasion throughout the week that may take me away from the home for a couple hours at a time. Typically, as long as their are no behavior issues, I'm fine with pups being out of the kennel while I'm home. I have hardwood floors so if they have occasional accidents, that's not an issue.
