In search of furry love
Pet care experience
I have a fenced yard and live by a park! I played Division I college tennis—so I am super active, have a surprisingly good throwing arm, and love being outside taking dogs on runs! If not doing that then Im a huge fan of snuggles—and I currently have an extremely flexible schedule! I’ve lived with dogs and cats 23 years of my life, have assisted in the training of my sister’s service dog, and have volunteered at an NYC animal shelter for the last 2 years. I’m reliable and organized. I worked in NYC for JP Morgan Chase bank in the Treasury Department since 2017–but moves to Austin for more pets & outdoors. My new Austin job starts mid-April, so I’m looking to have fun with, take care of, exercise, and love on some furry friends in the interim!

Not sure how she has 5 stars on here. First, we had discussed an arrival time of 8 pm. She didn’t show up til 10:45 pm and only came back to the house because my wife called through the app to ask where she was. This was confirmed through our doorbell camera as she this is the only entrance of the house. During our walk through I discussed walking the dogs in the evening and not during the hot part of the day since our big dog overheats easily. She walked them at 3 pm when it was hot outside. It was also requested to walk them in the morning after breakfast and evening after dinner when it cools, she walked them once a day. When we messaged if she walked them twice a day it was ignored. In fact, ignored texts that confronted her about anything that was being done at an inadequate level. Both evenings Friday and Saturday, she left the house around 5 pm and didn’t return until 2-3 am. Leaving our dogs alone all night and alone for 10 hours of the day. We had an informational paper which requests to let the dogs out at least every 6 hours. In general, we don’t ask a lot of our Rovers. It doesn’t appear Lauren takes these responsibilities very seriously and I wouldn’t recommend hiring her if you value your pets the way we do. Following directions doesn’t seem to be her strong suit.
Our girl is scared of being home alone and Lauren kept her safe and happy while we were away! Gave us regular pictures and updates and made sure she felt comfortable
Lauren was great! Very nice, responsive, and flexible.
No complaints, she was very helpful sitting Curie last minute

No pets in my home! Just lots of love! Moved to ATX with all my things packed into the car I drove in. Apartment is clean with minimal items of excess, no hidden items for them to find/get into, & lots of empty hardwood floor space for them to run around on. For overnight boarding, there is plenty room for a crate if that is your pets typical routine. Easy & plentiful access to the outdoors—both gated and open, depending on the pets needs.

Information Lauren V. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know: 1. Is your pet good being around other pets? (There are often other pets in the park behind my place) 2. What is your pets energy level? 3. What are your pet’s potty break frequency needs? (Less accidents in my home the better ?) Thank you!!

I am full time remote at eBay, working in Finance. Work/life balance is great! However it gets lonely and keeps me too cooped up inside. I decided to join Rover to give/get the animal love I miss so dearly! As well as to mix up my schedule with long walks & stints outdoors. Once I joined Rover there was no going back for me, your pets bring such an exciting ray of sunshine into my life—I am so appreciative of all the wonderful pets (& people too!) I have met & will meet / see again. I love being someone pets can rely on when they’re unable to be with their owner, making them uncertain & out of their comfort zone. In that vulnerable time it means so much to me to be able to provide them with anything they want/need; whether it’s going on runs, frequent potty breaks, training for treats, or simply lots of pets and cuddles! When the pets in my care are full of joy & happiness, my heart is happy! When my heart is happy, my days are happy! Reach out, I’d love to make your pets happiness the source of my own 😊
