WorkFromHome, 2hr/day outside time!

Pet care experience

For housesits, I will water your plants, tend to your garden, take mail in, garbage/compost out, or other house-care items as needed. Need me to feed your sourdough starter?! I gotchu! If a laundry machine is available, I will clean/fold my used sheets and towels, and I can guarantee that you’ll find your house is at least as clean as you left it. My own dog, Fluffer, and I are a Certified Pet Therapy Team. I trained her to be a therapy dog, so we make volunteer visits to nursing home residents and hospital patients together. Fluffer would be with me during most sits. I’d be happy to schedule a meet & greet in a neutral location to test the mood and see if they’d be compatible on sits or walks. I fostered dogs and cats for about 3 years on and off, and through that, have learned some basic vet care (giving shots, wrapping a sprained wrist, cleaning and wrapping wounds, treating a dog bite on a kitten, removing porcupine quills -- Montana dog problems! -- etc.). My partner has a sassy cat who I help care for daily, too! I’m comfortable working around dogs of different anxiety levels, quirks, needs, etc. Ideally they’d be comfortable with my (friendly) dog Fluffer joining. PS I’m a hobby photographer, and for every sit 3 nights or more, I’ll do a photoshoot during the sit (at a requested location or while we’re out and about) and provide you with the digital downloads :) I try to do this automatically, but to be safe, this is provided "upon request".

Lauren (and her pup Fluff) were the perfect companions for Leland while we were away. We can’t say enough good things about her! She was super responsive, sent lots of updates and pictures, and we came home to a clean house even during mud season - so wonderful! She brought our pup on lots of daily adventures (even a hike on the weekend!), so we came home to a very tired dog, which we love!! Thank you for a wonderful first Rover experience and for watching our finicky pup! We are very grateful and can’t wait to have Lauren watch our house and pup again!

Lauren was so incredibly great with our dog and he has serious quirks! She is very patient and meets your dog where they’re at emotionally. She was so tidy that you would hardly know anyone had stayed at our house! She walked him several times a day to get him tired and we can’t wait to hire her again! Highly recommend.

Lauren is a fantastic dog and house sitter. Our labs loved her because she exercised them every day and sent photos. She did everything we asked and was easy to work with our schedule. Will use her again. And again. And again.

I have watched dogs and been around them since my family got a dog when I was 6 years old. However, my canine game was upped when my current dog, Fluffer, became a teen mom in 2019. Together, we raised her 11 puppies (really, 11!) for 8 weeks and it was truly the most rewarding bonding experience together. She nursed, and I fed them soft food, administered their puppy vaccine shots, and spent time with them daily until they were old enough to adopt them into good homes. Since then, I’ve had an especially keen connection with dogs. I am comfortable with all dogs of different sizes, ages, anxiety levels, and routines; and dogs are usually comfortable around me. I have watched up to 4 dogs at a time. Upon a booking request, I might ask if you're comfortable with my dog joining. We can schedule a meet & greet. My past sits have loved having Fluffer around :)

I work for myself / from home (WFH), and dog walks/cuddles will always be the best type of break for me! I am pretty active and love the companionship of dogs on walks/hikes. I typically take pups to areas I can have them off leash (dog park or trails) - but I’ll ask you first to make sure this is okay for your dog; neighborhood leashed walks are great too if that’s your routine! My schedule will be flexible for pet care, depending on you. For dog-sits, if they are good with other dogs, I can have them spend time with my dog and my partner’s dog during the sit! I’ll always ask beforehand to assess what you‘re comfortable with.
