Professional dog lover 🐾🐕❤️🐈‍⬛

Pet care experience

I'm a Natural sciences, fisheries and wildlife major at Mizzou about to graduate this upcoming semester! I am passionate about all animals which is why I am a pet sitter for my main income. The past 10 years of my life (since I was 13) I have been doing all things from nail trimming, working doggy daycares, petsitting, and dog training. I call myself a “professional dog lover” because I love dogs for a living. I have been a pet lover for as long as I have lived and had all sorts of creatures growing up including 7 family dogs. Getting into the pet industry started with me being the pet sitter in my neighborhood. I then went on to working in local daycares such as South Paw Acres and developed my own clientele. I am now the apprentice of a local dog trainer and owner of Dogwarts. I have around 20 clients in the Columbia area. One thing that sets me apart from other sitters is I have hundreds of hours of experience. In my experience, I have worked with all kinds of animals: seniors, behavioral issues, disabilities, etc... which means I have a multitude of tips and tricks that help to make me a wonderful option for you. My education allows me to understand your animals on a behavioral and biological level that most people don’t understand. In my free time I like to research the best pet care practices. You can trust that I will make sure your babies are cared for and treat them as my own. I can also relate to pawrents with high anxiety that need of lots of reassurance. I don't mind it as I have personally had many senior dogs in my life and currently own a rescue dog that has caused for plenty anxiety. I am up for the challenge and I understand the worry involved with having difficult pets. I am familiar with medications, feeding difficulties, injections, bathing, escape artists, separation anxiety, training, etc...

Lauren haas an amazing for dogs and has been great with our 90 lb Lab Bo. She stayed over with him several times when we were on vacation and she was always professional, caring and reliable.

Lauren is super experienced with both cats and dogs of all kinds. Not only can she read their body language to discern their feelings with accuracy, but she is also great at spotting health issues and bringing them to the pet owner's attention. Lauren is someone I would trust with all of my animals in a heartbeat. Having her around is great peace of mind for me and all of her clients!

Lauren has long-term experience with both my pet dogs and cats, through short as well as longer encounters. She is astute at assessing their habits and mood, and handles them with patience and great background knowledge. She is optimistic and thorough. I highly recommend her care.

I will definitely contact Lauren the next time I need a dog sitter! She was the first person besides family to watch my two dogs and I am very happy with the outcome. I have a wheelchair bound 15 year old min pin and an emotional and energetic 8 year old blue lacy. I like to keep them both on a schedule and Lauren was very willing to keep up with it and deal with my two page list of instructions/notes ?. My senior dog has special needs and Lauren was up for the challenge which was relieving for me. She was able to stay overnight at my house and kept me updated with texts, pictures, and videos. I would highly recommend her!

I have a lot of patience, energy, and confidence when it comes to pets. I give lots of attention, enrichment, and treats. My camera roll is full of people's pets because I love to send pictures and updates throughout the day! I keep a tidy house and don’t like to leave a mess for you to come home to. I am a professional poop scooper, it just comes with the job. Please let me know if you have cameras. I’m not very comfortable with them inside in living spaces as I have a lot of paranoia and anxiety around being watched! Outside is totally fine though just communicate first.

Information Lauren T. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know of medical problems, behavioral problems, how much you will need me over a day, dog dislikes, dog likes, and please let me know if you have cameras and if they will be on so I can be comfortable in your home.

A typical day

I love providing enriching activities, play time, and toys. I think it’s important to stimulate a pets brain, Exercise them and make them feel loved. I personally am a big fan of putting pet TV on for cats and dogs or music while I am gone and have many tricks up my sleeve to keep them from being bored.

Please be patient with my responses! I always try to respond within 24hrs. I am a full time student with pet sitting jobs here and there so I’m always out and about. I can drop by every 4-6 hours through the day and spend free time with your pets. I am very busy with pets of my own so this means I won’t be providing constant 24/7 care but I still make plenty of time to love on your pups. Weekends I have much more time to spend at clients houses hanging out. Please let me know your pets schedule and what your expectations are so we can be on the same page.
