Before I adopted my forever furbaby, I was a foster. Most of the dogs I fostered had been mistreated in someway. Every single one ended up taking a piece of my heart with them when they found their forever home. Now that I’m a full time dog mom, I know how worrisome it is to leave your baby behind when you go on vacation or if you just work long hours and need a bit of help making sure they are taken care of. Knowing that your dog is being walked, fed and played with while you’re away is important. Trusting the person will care about them as much as you do is priceless!

Loved Lauren. She will be our go to person for any and all future needs. Our dog Hank was crazy about her. She was prompt and so sweet with him. She went above and beyond any expectation we had for taking care of our pet while we were out of time.

Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard. My dog loves to run and play with other dogs in the backyard. We go for walks around the neighborhood, which is a nice secluded area. When I’m out, the dogs will be kept in separate rooms with food and water, only crated if their human recommends it. I allow dogs on the couch, so there’s lots of cuddles before bedtime. Meet and greets are essential for boarding in my home. Drop-in Visits: I will follow your directions and give your pup lots of love and attention while I’m there. Meet and greets are not essential if you’re in a bind and don’t have time to meet in advance.

What makes them happy? Whether it’s fetch, belly rubs, or just sniffing everything in sight on walks. Special instructions? I can administer oral medication if needed. If your dog typically goes on a hunger strike when you’re away (like mine does) I will try my best to figure out a way to get them to eat. I’ve found that hand feeding them kibble like it’s a treat usually does the trick.
A typical day
Walks or runs around the neighborhood are my specialty. My dog is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs, so if you’re looking to socialize yours, we can have puppy play dates. If not, I will be more than happy to have one on one time with your pup.

Availability
I live near Hidden Creek Golf Course in Navarre. I also work a full time job in Navarre and can drop-in during my lunch breaks if a midday visit is needed on a weekday. My lunch break allows me to travel a maximum of 10miles in either direction and still complete a 30minute drop-in visit. If you live more than 10miles away, but are having a difficult time finding a sitter for drop-in visits/dog walking services, please feel free to send me a message and we can discuss rates that accommodate the increase in travel time. I'm always willing to work with people, if it's a reasonable request!
