I've grown up around dogs and have loved them my entire life. I helped my parents train the golden retrievers that I grew up with and I trained my own dog when I adopted him as a wee 8-week-old ball of energy. I love nothing more than walking, training, and playing with pups of all ages and sizes. I have some experience with moderately reactive dogs as well.

Lauren would be an excellent Rover dog sitter. For the almost 10 years I have known her, she has loved dogs and sought out ways to surround herself with them. In college, she helped me watch my family's 13 year old yellow lab for a week, taking excellent care of her while I was in class or at work. In the years since, I have seen her care for dogs ranging from puppies to senior. I have relied on Lauren as a resource when I adopted a 13-week old puppy last year and was able to get great advice about training a dog so young, given her own experience. If I was living near her, I would be thrilled to have her watch my dog.
Lauren is an energetic, loving dog caregiver. She has grown up around dogs and rescued her own dog a couple years ago. While she is always up for a game of fetch or tug of war, she also enjoys a good snuggle sesh with her pup. I would highly recommend Lauren as a trustworthy person to care for your fur baby.

I do not have a fenced yard at home, but I do have a crate for my own dog. If needed, I can put my dog upstairs and crate yours if I am gone from the home for any period of time.

Please let me know if your dog has any behaviors that are important for me to be aware of. This can include reactivity, fears, preferences for how to walk them, and if there are any food restrictions they may have. I like to use positive reinforcement training in order to teach or work with dogs to not have them pull and will usually have kibble or treats of some kind on me.
A typical day
I love to make walks fun and also work for the dog so that they can practice their training, sniff all the fun smells, and then return them to you appropriately pooped out and fulfilled. I enjoy walking around Gorham with my own pup to continuously (re)expose him to real-world stimuli.

Availability
I am a full time remote worker with a fair amount of flexibility for walking or drop in visits for dogs. Sometimes my schedule changes but it is largely flexible!
