Pet care experience
I have always loved dogs. My family had at least two in the house growing up and since I'm not a dog mom (yet!), I'd love to take care of yours. I have fostered multiple dogs while living in Evanston (all shapes, sizes, and temperaments), so I have the ability to create a safe environment for the individual needs of your dog. I have loved my time on Rover and enjoy getting to know each pup and their quirks, soft spots, and routines. I love dogs and am looking for a fun outlet to get some puppy love. I'd love to meet you and your pup and provide the care they need!

Lauren was a great sitter! This was our first time using a dog sitter in our house and we were a little apprehensive about the whole process. Lauren was dependable, and provided lots of updates during her stay that made us feel at ease while we were away. Our dog became comfortable with her very quickly. I enjoy house sitting as I find the animals do best staying in the environment they're used to. I'll leave your home clean and just as it was when you left, with happy animals awaiting your return. For boarding, our house is pet-free, dog proof, and a warm and cozy place for your dog to feel safe. I do not have a fenced in yard so will take the dog out on leash to go to the bathroom. Unless your dog is very chill, it is best for them to be crate trained for when I'm not home. I have roommates who love dogs as well but I do prefer dogs who are not big barkers. For walking, I am an active 28 year old female, ready to engage your dog for however long they enjoy. The more instructions you leave, the easier my job is! I prefer to keep dogs in the routine they're used to and appreciate knowing their norms and specific ways to engage with them (toys, commands, etc.)

A typical day
We love walks around Northwestern's lakefill, Gilson Park, and Evanston neighborhoods. We love cuddles on our large couch and if it's nice out, might enjoy an afternoon on our outdoor porch. I love to play so if your dog is down for fetch or has any special toys, please bring them!

Availability
I work Rover part time as I have a full time job. That being said, I have a flexible schedule during the day and work from home some of the time. So I am willing to work with you and your availability to see if we're a good fit. My weekends are often free. I've lived in Evanston since graduating from Northwestern and am familiar with the North Shore area. I'm taking COVID-19 seriously and following protocols set in place by local government and am happy to oblige to any specific wishes you have.
