Pet care experience
I love dogs and all animals. I was raised in a home where our animals were part of the family, and not just pets. I grew up with a chocolate Labrador, two cats and various other animals my parents brought home. My parents taught me how to care for animals - the work it required and the attention they needed. I have always enjoyed their company and caring for them. I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, energy levels, and health-needs for as long as I can remember, and have always had enjoyed my time with them. Neighbors in the DMV area, friends and family have trusted me to care for their fur babies. Check out my reviews in my profile and I am available for boarding and pet sitting!

Lauren was amazing for our senior small (but chunky) boy! He is a little anxious and definitely has separation anxiety so it was perfect for him to be watched by Lauren and her partner (our boy also comes from a two person household) where he was loved and cuddled. We got cute pictures and updates during our stay and we definitely felt like he was in good hands!!! He can be reactive but I heard no complaints—only praises, so they are definitely patient and understanding to all sorts of doggies. We will definitely use Lauren again— thank you!!!!
Lauren and Luke were incredible! So responsive and kind and patient. Our little guy just loved them immediately (which can be a challenger for him). Thank you!
This was Willow’s third stay with Lauren and she was so happy to see her which says everything! It’s a relief knowing she is happy and content staying with Lauren.
Lauren took such great care of our little Willow and sent through pictures and updates. Willow was very affectionate towards Lauren and Luke and she was very spoilt which we loved to see! Will definitely book her in with Lauren again.

I live in a dog/pet friendly apartment building with lots of space and natural light. I have a small balcony for extra fresh air. There are accessible walking trails, dog parks, and dog friendly spaces in/around the neighborhood. When pet sitting, I am happy to stay overnight at your place and accommodate to your pets typical routine. When pet sitting, it is helpful for parents to leave suggestions for favorite dog parks, trails, and activities in the area.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, dietary needs, or specific behaviors ahead of time. If boarding, please make sure to pack your dogs leash with poop bags, preferred food with bowls, treats, any medications, and favorite toys.
A typical day
We’ll take lots of walkies, have fun playing with toys and take all the naps (with cuddles) that your dog desires. Please pack favorite toys and treats for your fur baby!

Availability
I work from home most of the time but have also returned to going into work 1-2 times a week. When I do go into work, I will be out of the house for 5-8 hours. I also live with my boyfriend who has a flexible work schedule and will help care for dogs that are boarding in our apartment, when I have to go into work.
