Pet care experience
I have taken care of my family dog for over 10 years, and as he gets older, I have become more and more aware of specific needs for senior dogs. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility where I have learned so much about proper care for both dogs and cats. Some of these things include properly correcting negative behavior, looking for signs of stress and anxiety, feeding correctly based on dietary restrictions, and providing a safe and clean environment for pups and kitties alike! I also volunteer regularly at a shelter near my main college, and I regularly take shelter dogs out on “doggy days out,” where I spend time walking and playing with them! Feel free to ask any questions about specific care for your pets, including medication, bathing, and any other special requirements.

Lauren was absolutely amazing! Our two girls love her and had the best time. She took them on a walk and they had lots of snuggles. We can’t wait the have her watch them again.
Lauren O would be the perfect choice for a pet caregiver! She is one of the most responsible, loving, caring, and genuinely helpful people I have ever met. She has taken care of her dog, Bear, like he is her own child and always makes sure to do anything to make him happy. She also is very loving and caring to my dog, Tucker, who is always a happy Saint Bernard whenever he sees her. Also to mention, she works at a doggy day care and when I visited her, her co-workers had nothing but positive things to say about her and her work ethic and how much she cares about the dogs and other animals from her workplace. So in the end, Lauren would be the perfect fit for a pet caregiver, for her being a genuinely good person, as well as a hard, responsible working, and finally, an animal loving, kind human being.

A typical day
My favorite activities to do with the pups I work with is play! After a nice long walk and some catch or tug, they’re pretty tuckered out and ready for a nap. Trips to the park are also so stimulating and refreshing for dogs.

Availability
I currently work part-time, which means I have plenty of free time in the afternoon. I am usually free after 12pm on most days. I also attend class Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I am usually free after 3pm those days. My schedule does vary throughout the week a bit, but I am always available to communicate about specific dates and times!
