Availability
My midweek is the busiest due to school but I can be available in the late afternoon-evening. Please let me know if you need different times and I will try to accommodate. I’ll contact you for schedule changes where I can still support you and your pet. Holiday Availability: I will be back in Los Angeles from November 20-December 1 and December 12- January 2. During these dates, I will only be available to help Los Angeles area clients. Between those dates, I’d be happy to support Santa Cruz clients!

When meeting a new pet, I cue off of their openness to meet and approach them gently. When right, I offer them my hand to sniff. My goal is for them to get to know me on their terms.

Please let me know if your pet has any physical/behavioral accommodations and if they have a specific routine to stick to. Also, what their likes and/or dislikes are. (i.e. do they get frazzled by skateboarders, are they sensitive to certain sounds?)
A typical day
When stimulating dogs and basing it off their energy levels, I like to initiate both mental and physical activities. For mental stimulation, a good play nose work games such as which treat the hand is in and where are the treats in the room. Along with going on walks, I also like to produce physical stimulation through play such as tug-of-war and fetch. If your dog prefers to lounge around and receive pets, I am happy to do that! I will adjust to your dog’s energy level and behavioral accommodations to avoid overwhelming them. For my cat clients, I try speaking to them frequently throughout our visit so they know where I am and familiarize my voice to them. I typically like to engage in playing with them and petting to build a rapport between us. Whatever comforts and routines your cat needs, I will aim to accommodate them.

Pet care experience
Taking care of cats and dogs for the past twelve years has been one of the greatest joys of my life! Through my passion for animals, I’m dedicated to giving them all my love, time, and attention to them. That’s why my neighbors, clients, and friends have trusted me to care for their furry little friends throughout the years. I have also worked with puppies as young as one-year-old and senior dogs. My sweet pitbull, Esme, is an allergy dog who is also deaf. So, I have practiced administering both oral and topical medications and working with an impaired hearing animal.

So glad we found Lauren! It was last minute but she made us feel very confident right away and our dogs loved her at first sight! Will definitely book again.
Lauren dropped in on our sweet Ebby because we had to be out all day. She took her on a quick walk and fed her dinner. She was punctual and left detailed feedback about the visit through rover. We also met for a meet and greet beforehand and felt so at ease leaving Ebby in Lauren’s care! She was so sweet and caring - we would highly recommend her!
Lauren is a gem. She sends the best pictures and always writes a detailed update. I wish she wasn’t leaving the area.
