I have owned dogs for my entire life, my first amazing dog being a golden retriever named Jack; I picked him out with my brother at age 3. I have volunteered with Angels of Assisi for 3 years, and fostered 4 puppies at one point, including the mother dog. I currently have two rescue dogs; Lily, a 5 year old dachshund and Poppy, a 13 year old lab mix. I am passionate for all animals and their wellbeing, and enjoy the company and companionship they provide. I would treat any animal as if it was my own; with love and respect and loyalty. I have a solid background in dog-sitting for neighbors and friends, both over-night stays and/or daily check-ins. -Lauren I am available both weekdays and weekends. Any time of day or night; or for an extended period of time. I work during the day from 9:00am - 4:30pm; available for drop-in lunch time visits within the Raleigh Court / Grandin areas! I have a fenced in yard and own two dogs. Lily is small (about 10 lbs.) and Poppy is medium size (about 25 lbs.) They are both friendly and easy-going. They love to sit out in the sun and are both professionally trained and have never been in an altercation with another dog/ animal.

Lauren is absolutely fantastic!! Cannot recommend her enough! She is very responsive, responsible, and has been a blessing during times of short notice drop-ins. Our pup loves her and she truly cares about our little pup!
Lauren was great! Super prompt with communication and flexible with drop off time, which I greatly appreciated because I have to work in Blacksburg some days and traffic can be an issue. Her house is warm and welcoming.
Lauren has been our dog sitter for several years now. She is a true animal lover and it shows! Our dogs are our fur-kids and we trust them in Lauren's care. We are very appreciative of Lauren taking care of them.
Lauren has been lovingly caring for our families pets since a very young age. She has done volunteer service for the benefits of pets and has been a fostered a family of mom and pups. Lauren routinely has jobs pet sitting while the family is on vacation. She is kind and compassionate and has learned a lot about animal behavior through a trainer we brought into the home for a very troubled rescue dog. Lauren is trustworthy and has a true connection to the animal kingdom.

My neighborhood has sidewalks perfect for walks, always ensuring your pup is leashed and safe from on-coming walkers. My backyard is fenced and there is plenty of room to play with my two dogs and their plethora of toys! I have extensive experience staying at others homes in order to provide safety and comfort for your dog. This is something I take very seriously as I know how important it is for you to feel at ease knowing your companion is being loved and taken great care of while you are away!

I am available to assist with special needs and have experience with elderly dogs or dogs with sensitivities; either allergies or sensory (i.e. storms or loud noises.) I would like to know ahead of time if your dog is on a strict diet and what their sleep schedule is like, so I can accommodate as needed.
A typical day
I have a fenced in back-yard where I play fetch and run around with my current two dogs. They love to go on walks and experience new sights and smells around the neighborhood. We live a block from a park, and are located in a family-friendly neighborhood with side walks.
