It is my pleasure to write a letter of reference for Lauren Martin for petsitting positions. I have known Lauren since 2012, when we became neighbors. We had a cat and a dog, and needed help every now and then taking care of our pets. Lauren’s sisters helped us initially, and then, starting in 2014 (when Lauren was 13!) she was solely responsible for feeding, walking and cleaning up after our pets when we were away on vacation or even just needed extra help. It’s hard to imagine a teenager having that responsibility, but she was an amazing and responsible person even at such a young age. From the age of 13, I was able to work directly with Lauren, communicating about schedules, responsibilities and any other concerns or worries she or I had about the pets. Even at that young age, she treated this as a responsible job, making sure she came on time, reported in, filled me in on my pets and, of course, took excellent care of my beloved pets. Of course she has plenty of experience at home as well, taking care of their family pet. Her communication and caring skills are excellent, and she has true empathy and love for animals. Over the years, Lauren continued to take care of our pets, even as we lost loved family pets, and adopted new ones. My computer files are filed with notes to Lauren about food, medicines, litter boxes, etc! She had an extremely full schedule, but still managed to take care of our pets when I was home late, or away on trips. I have offered her a live-in petsitting position more than once!! Whoever is lucky enough to hire Lauren to take care of their pets will know that their pets are in the best hands!
