I've had dogs as pets my entire childhood and couldn't imagine life without them! I grew up with Border Collies but love every breed out there. I was a regular dog walker for multiple medium-large, very athletic dogs for about a year until I started a new position which gave me less time to walk dogs consistently. I was a Dog TLC volunteer for about a year at the Whatcom Humane Society where I spent time with dogs and took them for daily walks around the property. I loved spending time with them and getting to know each animal. It was difficult not to take one home! It led to me finally adopting my own pup, a 2-year-old boxer/lab named Ruby. She’s very active and looooves playing with other dogs! She's very high energy and I love taking her on long walks on the interurban trail. Due to her crazy youngster energy, she can frustrate calmer dogs. Because if that, she won't join me on walks or visit with your unique pooch unless requested. Through my dog walking experience I have used clicker training, positive-based reward training, off-leash handling, and general dog communication skills. I have experience house-sitting and general dog walking and am excited to meet your needs as best as I can!
