I believe I can provide exceptional care for your pets due to my extensive animal experience. Through working in a volunteer capacity in shelters, being a dog owner for 22 years, and watching a variety of animals for the past 8 years, I have learned to work with dogs and cats of all breeds, temperaments, ages, and size. Beyond being an animal lover I am a great communicator, receptive to instructions and specifics about your pet, outgoing, and highly organized. I know that your pet is like your child and entrusting them to a person you do not know while you are unable to be there can be daunting. I hope that my abilities coupled with my love for animals can put you at ease that your pet is well cared for. I am always happy to communicate via text and picture messages during walks or sitting with updates on how your pet is doing, and am happy to accommodate any other requests such as medication, dog park visits, etc. I am also able to answer any other questions you may have regarding my qualifications, I hope to hear from you soon.

I met Lauren through work and we bonded over our shared love of dogs. When I went away on vacation, I was so lucky to have Lauren watch my Boston Terrier mix, Otis. Lauren volunteered at an animal shelter, and so she has experience caring for challenging and needy dogs. While my dog is very well-behaved, he’s elderly and has some complex medical issues that make it impossible to leave him with “just anyone.” Lauren stayed on top of his medication regime, took him on long walks, and sent me frequent pictures and updates while I was away. With all the stress involved in traveling, it was so nice not to worry about Otis because I knew he was in such good hands. While I’m sad that Lauren no longer lives in Boston, I know that she will provide dogs in the Philly area with as much love and enthusiasm as she showed Otis. Any family would be lucky to have her as their dog’s walker or sitter!

I don't have any breed preferences at all! I would love to know as much as I can about your pet before sitting or walking to ensure that I am providing the best care possible for him/her. For instance, "my dog doesn't like un-neutered male dogs." Those kinds of tips are always helpful so I know what to be on the lookout for. Anything you are comfortable sharing with me is welcomed!
A typical day
I live in a vibrant area of Massachusetts where there are many new smells, faces, other dogs, and places to explore. There are parks geared more towards walking or exercising dogs as well as numerous dog parks in the area if that is something that your dog enjoys. The activities we do will depend primarily on what you are looking for, what best suits your dog, and what exercise you are hoping they get during our time together. I am happy to be flexible with all of this and would welcome any instructions, considerations, and input!
