Hi furry friends and pet parents! My name is Lauren. I’m a health care worker who lives on the Upper West Side. I work with the elderly in a sub acute rehab center. I also spend a lot of time cat sitting around manhattan :) I adore animals of all types. I mainly sit for cats but also have lots of experience with dogs and rabbits. I’ve had all 3 types of pets throughout my life. I share my apartment with my ginger tabby: Bruce and my grey tabby: Polly. I am experienced with diabetic pets (timed feedings, subcutaneous insulin injections, checking blood sugar, etc.). I am also experienced with oral medications: both pills and oral syringe. I have my own private pet sitting insurance through Pet Sitter’s Associates and have just started uwscats .com which is my own cat sitting business. I generally arrive between 7-9pm and leave at 7-9am. We can add drop ins during the day or figure out what works if you need more care. I think I’ve covered the basics. We typically take on fosters and they enjoy other cats. Your own cat (or cats: (I can take up to 2 from the same family) would have run of the rest of my one bedroom. Medication is included.
