AVAILABILITY: Please be aware that the holiday season is particularly busy! Please send a message inquiring about availability for precise information as to my availability. Please read the following carefully. Presently, my availability for pet sits in your home: Fri pm, Sat-Sun (am, afternoon, and pm care available). Dog walks are limited to evenings Mon-Fri, and am, afternoon, or pm on Sat. and Sun. I do 2 kinds of care: (1) private dog walks on weekday evenings, or at anytime during Saturdays or Sundays (2) overnight pet sitting in your home - please note if your dog needs afternoon care on weekdays you will need to supply that care, if you are booking only for a weekend then I am available for am, afternoon, and evening care on Saturdays and Sundays. It is also possible to start on a Friday afternoon. Meet and Greet Policy: It is wonderful to have a meet & greet prior to a sit so that we can all see that we are a good fit. Visits with me where I travel to locations within several mile radius of my home in Oakland, or within several miles of where I am located when I am in San Francisco already (on a pet sit) are also free. Visits where you and your dog come to me in San Francisco and Oakland, depending on my location on the desired date, are also free. Visits outside of a a several miles radius will be assessed a transportation fee that takes into account gas, bridge toll, and my travel time. The fee is typically $15-30 for most Bay Area locations outside of the several mile radius. Please note you may be subject to a travel fee if you are more than a few miles from my location, and the timing of the sit would require frequent travel for me. This is typically the case for pet sits in the Mountianview, San Bruno, San Leandro, Pacifica, and Marin areas. Please ask me for specifics as to your area and I am happy to provide a cost estimate for you for your consideration. I have been a pet lover for my entire life, and have helped care for dogs, and cats over the past few years while I attended a grad program. I love watching breeds of all sizes, and abilities. I am comfortable administering medications, and adhering to diet requirements. I take great joy in taking pictures during my pet sits so you can see all the adventures your beloved pet is having in your absence. I do have my own vehicle available for transporting your pooch to adventures during their vacation. Whether taking a trip to the beach, or taking some time to snuggle and relax I am able to adjust your pets vacation plans to their individual needs and wants. I take the time to learn your pets routine, and keep them on their regular schedule while you are out of town. I am comfortable watching multiple pups, cats, and other creatures at the same time. My vehicle is also available to transport your pup in case of emergency. I am absolutely open to working with pets with behavioral challenges. I believe in a positive reward approach through treats, affection, and positive association. I do not utilize methods that cause pain and fear and we will not be a good match if that is your preferred method for your pet and you want me to implement that tool. Exception/tool I will use: I am willing and to use a prong collar if that suits your needs, as long as the use does not cause pain or injury. I have provided dog walking, day care, and companion services over the years to dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and abilities. I will happily also provide care for, play with, and attend to any kitty needs as well if a kitty is a part of your family as well. Why I love dog sitting I have had a lifetime passion for dogs. No matter the size, breed, or behaviors I find myself able to quickly establish a positive relationship with pups. I have enjoyed dog walking, and pet sitting while attending a grad. program and love getting outside rain or shine. My experience administering medication Yes I am. I prefer to watch you administer once before my sit so that I can see what works well for your pooch. If the medication is the kind you stick in peanut butter, baby food, or something they will easily ingest there's no need to demonstrate to me. Certainly if you know a good trick I'd like to learn it too to make things as easy as possible for your pup and start building our trust around medications.
