My husband and I are a young couple in Shinfield, and we’ve looked after a number of dogs through Rover now. Both of us grew up with family dogs, and during times living in Barbados, we rescued and fostered stray dogs. We now have our own dog, Alfie, a working cocker spaniel who is one year old. Alfie being like a child to us, we fully appreciate how stressful and unsettling it can be finding care arrangements for our furry best friends, particularly as it relates to finding someone we feel comfortable with to look after them (after all, no one can do it quite like you!). However, rest assured that Luke and I genuinely love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and will look after your dog as if he/she was our own. Our little Alfie is also super friendly and playful, and makes for a great companion ❤️. I have lots of boredom buster toys (snuffle mats / puzzle toys etc.) to keep them entertained indoors, and also have a lovely big (fully enclosed) garden that they can play in. We also have a lovely woods around our development which is surrounded by fencing and makes for a great walk! Alfie loves it. For weekend stays, I know lots of nice walks in the area and we often rent out private enclosed fields for the dogs to run freely and play! Overall they’ll get lots of physical and mental stimulation during their stay. Our home is their home!
