I have extensive experience caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, axolotls, ferrets, rats, turtles, and hamsters. I'm comfortable caring for both altered and unaltered animals, and I always tailor my approach to each pet's individual needs. While in college, I volunteered as a trainer for a service dog agency based in Ohio. Over five years, I served as the primary caretaker for seven dogs, focusing on basic obedience training, public socialization, grooming, vet visits, and daily care. I've worked with dogs ranging from 5 to 175 pounds and understand how to meet a variety of energy levels and temperaments. For the past four years, I’ve also volunteered with Louisville Metro Animal Services (LMAS), where I continue to strengthen my dog handling skills and work with animals of all backgrounds and behaviors. When it comes to cats, I have over seven years of hands-on experience. I currently have two cats of my own (Binx and Ghost). As a foster with LMAS, I’ve cared for both kittens requiring round-the-clock attention and senior cats needing medication and special diets. I’m confident in my ability to provide attentive and loving care for cats of all ages and personalities.
