Camp Lauren- where all the fun is!!

Pet care experience

I have spent the last 10 years working with other peoples animals, mostly in my home and absolutely love what I do. I 2 mini dachshunds who are up to date all on shots and medications and are super pet friendly to those dogs that like company. For boarding- To those who are dog friendly, I have a special place for them. I am very active and love taking the dogs for walks, playing fetch in the yard and swimming in the pool. In the yard the dogs wrestle, chase each other, play in the pool, or sprinklers. I also take each dog out for some one on one time each day, this can range from just letting them explore, to fetch, or the flirt pole and sometimes all three. I can promise that your pooch will feel at home when you get to vacation. If you have a laid back, lazy dog, I would love to kick back and relax with them. I live in an animal friendly neighborhood. I am with them most all the time so they will always have round the clock care! My husband Jeff is very active in helping me with guest dogs, which lets us make sure they are getting rounds the clock care and attention! My eight year old, also loves to give round the clock pets and cuddles. We require proof of rabies and boosters, also make sure your dog is on flea preventative! We are a flea free home and will always keep it that way!! I can guarantee a happy and tired dog, but please keep in mind that the dogs will be playing with others and can occasionally get dirty. We also offer baths and blow drys for an additional fee. For drop ins and walks- I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and behavior quirks. I do require a meet and greet for these services so I am not a stranger walking in to your home. I am also a Florida Realtor who works mainly from home, in order to make sure I make time for my family, my pets and dog visitors, I strive to keep pick ups, drop offs and meet and greets on a scheduled timeframe. My rates vary and I can always send a custom quote for a unique situation. I am experienced with special needs dogs, who are blind or deaf, or both. I am expericed and very comfortable administering medications. Orally or injections are okay with me.

Lauren kept me updated daily about how my dogs settled in and my dogs loved staying with her. I will definitely leave my dogs with her the next time and every time I need a dog sitter.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced in yard with locks on our gates to ensure the dogs are always safely in the yard. Dogs are always supervised, including when they are outdoors. We have an additional gate and fence to separate our pool from the rest of the yard to ensure no one goes swimming during times like a storm, and to keep those who can’t swim safe from falling in. We feed all dogs separate, either in crates or another room to ensure safety while eating and to prevent stomach troubles from a different food. We separate dogs from my own, or any other guests when not supervised as well- like when we need to leave for short periods.

Information Lauren J. would like to know about your pet

Before sitting a dog I would like to know How your dog is with other dogs? Do they get along with both small and large dogs? Males and females? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Is your dog up to date on vaccinations and preventive medicines? Where does your dog sleep at night in your home? Where does your dog stay when you leave the house? What are your desired pick up and drop off times?

A typical day

On a typical day we play fetch, tug of war, swim in the pool, go on a walk, or use the hose for some cooling off fun. the dogs always have tons of playtime with each other as well!
