Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am local to Richmond and the Southeast Virginia area. I have cared for and trained dogs of my own, as well as watched after and exercised roommates', neighbors', and friends' dogs. I am also experienced with cats and currently have one of my own. I am very flexible in regards to scheduling, feeding, and other activities for your canine or feline companions. I will run with your dog or can stay overnight during the week/weekends. I have experience working with both small and large dogs with a variety of temperaments, in addition to cats. In regards to pet boarding, I am only accepting requests for cats at this time. Cat genius! She got my super shy cat to come out and play within 5 minutes of meeting him, and when I got back from my trip he was very happy and healthy. Lauren was communicative, flexible, and great with the cat. Would definitely recommend!
She is amazing with animals and so kind hearted!!! I'd trust her with my fur baby anytime. Salem adores her and is happy whenever she comes over. She is always on point with care and maintains everything needed down to a T!.

Generally, I always spend a few minutes welcoming the animal when I first arrive and assess their current state of mood and health. Then I move to refreshing food and water. While your pet is eating, I typically take care of any bathroom needs (cleaning up accidents, changing cat liter, etc.) Once your pet is satisfied with a fully belly, then we turn to play time and spend the last 15 minutes playing with toys or cuddling if your pet doesn't feel like playing that day! :)

A typical day
I can cover a wide range of activities with any pet I watch. For dogs, that includes anything from walking, to hiking, and even jogging depending on their level of energy. I am very familiar with many parts of the area and enjoy spending time with them at parks, on trails, or just leisurely walking down the street and letting them have time to smell the roses!
