Hello! I am a nurse, and have a passion for caregiving not only for humans but for furry friends too:) We previously were dog parents to our beloved 15 year old senior lab hound George who is pictured in many of my photos, and we know he would have wanted us to continue to provide a caring, loving home away from home for other pups. I know firsthand how hard it is to leave your pup when you travel. This is one of the reasons I started sitting on Rover—to be able provide a safe, fun, and caring home for dogs while their owners are away. And selfishly, because I love dogs! I have been a dog owner my whole life—I grew up with golden retrievers and a basset hound, and proud dog mom to our 15-yr-old lab-hound rescue George. I will keep your pup safe, happy, snuggled, scratched, treated and well cared for during his/her stay. I sit only 1 dog at a time from the same family, and I have a flexible schedule and am usually at home during most of the day at least 3-4 days a week. On the other days, my husband will be home(works from home) to help out with potty breaks and outside time at least every 2-4 hours during the work day. My husband, myself, and our son live in a cozy 1-bedroom house with a porch and a yard—great for sunbathing. We are active and love going on walks and to the park, and will bring your dog on excursions throughout his/her stay. I require a meet and greet for all new requests. Must be good with children.
