Hello! I have been working in veterinary medicine since I was 16 years old, whether that be as a kennel technician, mixed practice assistant, ER assistant, general practice technician, or surgical technician. I am currently a first year veterinary student at UGA's CVM. Therefore, I have plenty of hands-on experience, including providing medicine by mouth and via injection. I love taking care of your family pets and treat them just as I would my own! I can guarantee that your pet will be in loving, caring hands. I love sending updates and photos to you so that you can see how happy and well your pets are doing. I had to take a break from Rover due to my hours working in emergency medicine/surgery.

It was the first time I hired a pet sitter. Lauren was really great, she reassured me and answered all my questions. She followed all the necessary instructions, and also played with my cat. Every time she was visiting she sent me two photos of my cat and a brief description of the day. I'm got more than I expected. We managed to spend our holidays without constantly worrying about our little fur baby.
I cannot say enough good things about Lauren. We have a 16 year old and a 2 year old pekingese that she watched while we were on vacation. Given the age and health conditions of my 16 year old I was worried about someone caring for him. Add in the 2 year old who has been a Covid puppy and can be a little needy and ornery I was nervous to leave them for a week. The peace of mind Lauren offered is something I cannot thank her enough for. The morning check ins, texts when she had questions, it was just overall great communication. My husband and I had a bad experience with someone else prior to this and I cannot tell you the peace Lauren gave both of us. I highly recommend using her!
Lauren was great with our three dogs. She sent us text and photos and kept us updated the whole time. We would highly recommend her.

Information Lauren G. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know your dog's temperament before taking care of them, just to ensure I have full understanding of your dog's personality and behaviors. Every animal is unique! I would also like to know if they are house-trained or crate-trained, if you plan on having them crated when I am not there. While I do love all breeds, I hold a special place in my heart for West Highland White Terriers. I have owned two now; my first one (Monty) received for my 6th birthday. Sadly, we had to put Monty to sleep after the had a relapse of lymphosarcoma after his chemotherapy. I loved him dearly, and he slept in my arms every night when I went to bed. However, I love taking care of all breeds, both big and small.
A typical day
I will be happy to walk your dog in the neighborhood, or go to a local park. I enjoy playing with your animals and their toys.

Availability
I am usually in town and available between Mondays and Friday, and am sometimes out of town on the weekends, but I am willing to make the occasional exception on days outside this schedule.
