Pet care experience
I’m the friend that’s always taking care of someone else’s dog! I have been taking care of dogs in my community (Portland, Amherst, then Denver) for about 14 years, and take any chance I can to bond with people's special pups. I graduated from college with a bachelors in Wildlife Conservation; I love animals of all shapes and sizes! I have recently gone into working remotely and traveling in my truck/camper set up. Looking to get back into dog sitting/walking before I decide to get a pup friend of my own :) I can travel most anywhere if need be, please just give me a heads up so I can prepare! I'm willing to take as many opportunities as I can to help out my fellow dog lovers! Things to be aware of: - My rate is based on 24 hours, if your pick up time is past that 24 schedule, an additional fee will incur (say you drop off at 12pm Friday, pick up Sunday at 5pm, I charge an extra $10) - Please be upfront about issues your dog may face in staying in an unfamiliar environment, the extent to which they have separation anxiety, and their history with other dogs. - I typically don’t take dogs to the dog park due to safety reasons with other dogs. I have a variety of other enrichment ideas I utilize to keep your dog entertained and socialized while you are gone, but I am willing to discuss a routine that fits your pup best!

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want everyone else to know how spectacular of a sitter Lauren is and risk her calendar being booked up. Our pup Ellie is a special needs senior pup and from the very first meeting Lauren just got her. She knew how to interact with her and was so gentle and caring, asking all the right questions so that I knew she would be the perfect fit to stay with her while we were gone for a week and a half. She gave her all the love and affection Ellie needed, kept our apartment in spotless condition, and didn't bat an eye at the very long list of care, feeding, and medication instructions. In fact, when Ellie ran out of a new medication due to a miscount of pills on my part, she notified me and then took the initiative to head to her vet and pick up a new batch of pills. She is an absolute gem of a human and a total dog whisperer. Ellie is still looking to towards the door each day waiting for her to come back and play with her. Lauren is now not only at the top of the list for dog sitters for our beloved pup, she IS the list.
Lauren was so great. She genuinely had Bowie’s best interest in mind. She made sure she got exercise and worked on training all while being thoughtful of her unique personality and needs. She has a great understanding and love for dogs!
Lauren took such good care of our fur babies and our home. One of our pups had an unexpected injury right before our trip where he was limping. She went above and beyond and carried him around while walking our other dog because she didn’t want him to miss out. That’s true dog love!!! She also went above and beyond taking care of our home, she left it better than when she arrived. We will definitely book her again!
Lauren was great with Arlo and left us a detailed report on his walk today! We will definitely be using her again in the future! :)

I have a fenced back yard as well as a spacious house and 2 roommates that work from home so your dog will never be alone! I try to stick to training as the owner needs (recall, potty training, etc.) to keep things consistent. I have lots of room if the dog needs to be crated while alone as well.

A typical day
I love getting to know the dogs I'm taking care of and making sure they're getting the exercise they need. I live right next to a fenced in park where I often take dogs to play fetch, as well as a couple small parks for walking. My neighborhood is full of families and is relatively quiet, which makes a great area to go on long walks.
