Lauren really loves animals and it’s obvious! She took great care of our older dog and 2 cats. She also drove over an hour to get to my house to meet them and then a few days later to watch them overnight! My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I said many times before booking that I needed someone to be there at all times (it was just a 1 night booking) and she assured me she’d be there the whole time. Sadly, she ended up being gone for 4ish hours. She did communicate that she was leaving, but I did not know it would end up being 4 hours.

Lauren was kind and sent pics indicating our dogs were well loved during their stay. However, they must’ve been either fed the wrong food, given too many treats or table food, or got into something. My pups both came back with terrible upset stomachs. Lauren offered to bathe them prior to pickup so maybe they’d already had an accident in her care, not sure. Nothing was communicated. They were crated for the night and we woke to a complete mess the next morning-both dogs covered. We were late for school, work, everything cleaning the dogs and mess. I reached out to ask if they’d gotten into anything and was told no. Originally, I’d found a bird in my backyard that our schnauzer picked up and wondered if it was related- however review of our back door camera indicated the bird had flown into the patio door in the morning after the mess in the crate. Ruby also took no interest in the bird but had an upset stomach also. This lasted for three days. She then developed a hotspot later in the week, likely from a food allergy according to our vet. At pickup, my husband indicated that Lauren was interested in pet sitting again for us the following weekend. Having already indicated we’d try her again, I reached out and did not receive a response. We won’t be reaching out again.
