To say that I am an animal lover is almost an understatement! I have owned both dogs and cats (and horses) my whole life. Sadly, as the years have gone by all of my life-long pets have unfortunately passed on. My 14-year-old cat and 15-year-old Dachshund both passed away within the last 5 months. Life just doesn't feel the same without an animal friend around! As far as the environment in my home goes... I DO live in an apartment. My apartment complex is fine with pets and has a dog park that is gated and very nice. I am totally available during the day and all through the week. I have a pretty flexible schedule. I am very open to dogs/pets of all kinds, personalities, etc.... The main thing I need to stress is that I have a three-year-old daughter. She is extremely gentle, well behaved, and knows how to act (and how NOT to act) around animals. I would be a very safe and nurturing caretaker for your pet. I would like to add that I have spent time in the past volunteering for the SPCA of Dallas, and Operation Kindness in Carrolton.
