Hi! My name is Lauren and I live in Churchill with my boyfriend and our two fur-babies. We live in an old row house built in 1900 that was recently renovated. I grew up in Chesapeake and lived in Virginia Beach before moving up here to Richmond! In our home we’ve got Brody, an 8 year old maltipoo who thinks he is the biggest dog on the big-dog side of the dog park, and Dalton, our sweet and energetic 10 month old goldendoodle! They are the best of friends and always enjoy having friends over or going to hang out with their dog friends at their house. Although I work full time M-F during the day, I am free to take care of your pets after work (6 pm and later) and on the weekends and national holidays! I know your pet is important to you and you want the best love and care for you dog when you aren’t there. I have grown up with dogs since I was little. They have the sweetest souls and I know it is comforting to know they are being taken care and happy. I am willing to dog sit at your house or have your dog come over and hang out at my house as long as they are comfortable with other 4 legged friends. I have given oral medication to both of my dogs so I am okay with doing that, but I am not trained in injections. I have a large garden tub and don't mind giving baths if necessary! Dog can sleep in my bed, in our bedroom, downstairs or in a crate! Our dogs sleep in the bed so wherever they are comfortable is fine with me! In my free time, I love to go for nature walks with and without my dogs, crafts and DIY projects around the house, going to concerts, eating delicious food, baking and watching my favorite shows like Golden Girls and Law & Order!

I highly recommend lauren as a dog sitter/walker! Not only is she a good friend of mine, but our dogs are good friends as well! Lauren often takes care of my dog, Marshall, and I know I can always rest easy knowing she takes his particular needs into consideration. Her two dogs, Brody and Dalton, are wonderful dogs who love meeting new friends, too! Lauren is responsible, trustworthy, and such a fun person- she is the perfect person to love on your dogs while you are away!
Lauren is a very passionate, caring and loving person to her own 2 dogs. She grew up with dogs and was taught to be responsible for their care which included feeding, walking, training and most importantly treating the dog as a member of the family. Lauren only uses positive reinforcement (praise, petting and sometimes treats) for her dogs and my dog Chester.

Is your dog a "bolter" (AKA do I need to be extra careful when opening fence gates)? Is there anything peculiar I should know? For example, my dog Brody doesn't like when the TV is too loud.
A typical day
I love going for walks so I would love walking your dog so they can get their exercise and burn off some energy. We have a fenced in backyard so if your pet has more energy then they can play outside. We’ve got tennis balls to throw around and shade from a tree for when they want to lay down and cool off outside. Our house is very open so there is plenty of room downstairs to play. I *may* have a habit of buying too many toys for my dogs, but I like for them to have a variety. I also have plenty of treats that are healthy as well as softer chews (not raw-hides) that your dog can chew on if you allow that. We live within walking distance of Church Hill Dog Park and enjoy going there on the weekends from time to time!
