Hello! My name is Lauren and I absolutely ADORE animals!!! I have always felt a special connection with them, which led me to starting my own pet sitting business in 2009. In 2013, I furthered my passion by working at an animal hospital for about 4 years. I have experience with a large variety of critters including but not limited to: dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, chickens, some crazy avians, big fishes, and more! I can easily read an animals body language, which usually helps me understand how your pet may be feeling and what they want/need. Your pet will be blessed with me singing to it as well as giving them all the scratches they may need. I am very reliable and down to earth, which will make me a great temporary companion while you are away. Also, as an added bonus, I have experience with giving medication when required.

She is a wonderful caretaker and goes above and beyond to spend time with the animals and treats them as if they are her own. All of our dogs love her, and get so excited when they see her! Lauren has watched my dog and my deceased dog on a number of occasions. She is a loving dog owner herself and a loving caretaker to other’s animals, whether dogs, cats, etc she has so much experience working with them and watching them. She is comfortable with all types of dogs and their needs. I would always trust my dogs lives with her! She is very attentive, energetic, and a true dog lover.

I am very cautious when I am taking care of another person's animal. I will make sure they are leashed properly and that their life is never in danger. I have a 3 story townhouse with a fenced in yard. My house is pet proofed with nothing toxic in reach. I will treat your pets like my own pets - which is nothing but unconditional love!

I also love a meet and greet if there is time. Its a great way to meet not only your pet but you! You can show me everything about your pet such as diet, feeding routine, preferred treats or toys, medication, allergies, triggers, likes and dislikes... the whole works! The more information for your pet, the better. I will be able to send you pictures of anything cute you may be missing while away along with texts day and night. FYI, my dog will not be home during your pets stay for safety reasons.
A typical day
I am an introverted, home body. I will cuddle with your pet for hours. I have a few places I normally take my dog hiking when the weather is nice. Depending on the location and how active your dog is, I usually like to go to a state park. I also enjoy local parks that have a good loop. We can also play fetch in the yard or tug of war.

Availability
I currently work at UMBC as an executive administrative assistant and have a flexible schedule when needed. I work at home 3 days a week and have a good work life balance.
