Pet care experience
My name is Lauren and I live in Fort Worth with my Golden Retriever, Rigby. I have experience with both young puppies (and all the training that goes into that) as well as senior dogs. I can provide walks, play time, doggy pools, and bathes. My goal is to give your dog the love and attention they deserve while you’re away. I want them to have as much fun as you do on your vacation. Please note: I have a large dog that lives with me, but if your pet is more comfortable being an only dog or they don’t seem to get along, in most cases I can have my dog stay with my parents so that your pet has the most enjoyable experience they can.

My yard is completely fenced in with 6 ft fences. I do not let my dog or any other dog in the front yard without being leashed. I allow dogs to have free reign of the house, unless you ask/require your dog to be crated. I also allow dogs on the bed and couch, unless you prefer me to not let them. I have a spare dog bed they are welcomed to use, and an overflowing basket full of toys.

Let me know if your dog has any fears or phobias I should be aware of. Are you ok with your pet getting treats? How does your dog do in a car? How does your dog do on a leash, and how far/long can they walk for? Does your dog have any food or toy aggression? Does your pet get along with other dogs? What are their favorite activities? Are they allowed on the furniture? Does your dog typically eat their meals instantly, or do they like to graze throughout the day?
A typical day
Your pet will have an in house playmate, my 7 year old Golden named Rigby. We like to go for walks in the evenings, usually in my neighborhood. We usually walk anywhere from 45-75 minutes. We also like to walk along the Trinity River I’m downtown Fort Worth. On weekends, I try to go on any errands that are dog friendly, which may include Home Depot or the car wash, or anywhere else dog friendly. I also love to bring my pet with me to dog friendly patios, restaurants, and breweries where we can all socialize. If the weather is nice, I set out the doggy pool and splash pad for some water play. If we’re staying inside, I have a box full of dog toys to choose from. I’ll also spend quality time grooming and brushing to make sure their coat is free of tangles and help with shedding.

Availability
When I’m not traveling for work, I am working from home, so your pet won’t be home alone all day. Typically I do dog walks in the afternoon/evening after work hours. Weekends can include visiting pet friendly restaurants, running errands to Home Depot or a plant nursery, and if the weather is nice, break out the doggy pool and splash pad. Anywhere I can, I will bring your dog with me for socialization and companionship. If home alone, they’ll have my dog Rigby for company and a playmate.
