I am a lifelong animal lover - I proclaimed myself a vegetarian at 3 years old and haven’t looked back since! As an entrepreneurial child, I hung up signs all over my neighborhood advertising my dog walking services for 25 cents. From there, I have had 14 years of experience taking care of my childhood dog and cats, volunteering at animal shelters, babysitting friends dogs, and finally adopting a malinois mix of my own. We adopted Louie as a 6 month old and thus I have experience training puppies and am completely understanding that it is a process and accidents happen! My parents have a 14 year old corgi, and I have experience providing him medication and specific care while they’re away. Overall, I am here to make sure your dog is as well taken care of and comfortable as possible, whatever that requires. I know how stressful it can be for both the owner and dog to be apart, so I will be sure to shower your dog with love and attention to minimize their stress, and provide you with frequent updates and pictures to minimize yours! I’m currently working from home, which means I will be home all day to give your pup plenty of love, play, exercise, and attention. My work hours are typically 8-4 or 5 with an hour long lunch break that I spend outside with my dog. I can be very flexible with catering to whatever your dog needs without having to disrupt their typical schedule! Since I work full time from home, I get to spend all day every day with my pup, Louie, while my partner Aaron is at work in an office. We have our own routine, but while your pup stays with us, that routine can be altered any which way to meet your dog’s needs, favorites, and energy level. Each day, I take Louie on a morning walk if it’s warm enough, or on a long lunch time walk including a trip to nearby Schiller Park or Moler Park for playtime. We have a small, but pleasant, fenced in backyard which is convenient for potty breaks and when Louie wants to enjoy the outdoors while I’m working. Once I’m off work around 4-5pm, we go to Scioto Audoban dog park almost daily for about an hour. If we don’t go to the dog park, we take a family walk at a nearby Metro Park. At the end of the night, we all spend time together making dinner and cuddling up on the couch. Louie is a 75lb malinois mix who just celebrated his first birthday! We are in awe of how much we lucked out on being his parents. He is an amazing dog who is as cuddly as he is fun. He loooves to play with other dogs, but is surprisingly great at tailoring his play style to the other dog’s age and size. My parents live nearby and have a 14 year old corgi mix that Louie is super gentle and sweet with. Alternatively, Louie can wrestle with, chase, and play tug of war with the best of them! He is a perfect playmate and has never once shown signs of aggression. Your pup will be spending time with two extreme dog lovers and a sweet pup who has never met a dog he didn’t adore.
