Hi! I’m Lauren and have a 3 year old black lab named Cliff. I’ve grown up having/taking care of dogs all my life, and agree with the sentiment “a dog is a (wo)man’s best friend”. I am now working 100% remote from home so have the capacity to take care of others dogs. I know how stressful it can be finding a sitter who you can trust and who will take care of your pet like their own, which is why I’ve decided to offer my services. My friends/family would describe me as being a complete dog lover who likes to spoil and give my dog attention all day long. My dog Cliff is a super friendly dog who has a laid back personality and gets along with all different dogs (see pictures). I frequently watch my friends dog as well who is also very friendly. I work remotely from home so am home all day to take care of the dogs. Sometimes I have to travel for work but obviously at those times I will not be accepting dogs to watch. I will care for your dog however your preference is. My only rule is no dogs on my bed. My yard is completely fenced in, and I am happy to take dogs out for walks to also give myself some exercise. I’m happy to try to help train any dogs while they are with me, play with them, follow their routine or give them medicine if needed, etc.

Lauren dog sits my 90 pound yellow lab about 4 days a week. She has also watched him multiple times over night for me. She is WONDERFUL with my lab. She takes him on walks, feeds him, plays games with him, and teaches him new tricks. My dog runs in the car when I say we are going to her house and loves her like a second mom. My dog has become best friends with her black lab and they play together so well. Her black lab is very very sweet. I am lucky to have such a wonderful dog sitter!!

I’m happy to follow the dogs typical schedule and give it any special attention that it needs. This is something that I’ll connect with and discuss with the owner ahead of time, but it would be most important to know if the dog is good with other dogs, if it has any fears or issues, how trained it is, etc.
A typical day
I like to make sure my dog and the dogs I walk are both physically and mentally stimulated. I am happy to give them exercise by walking them and playing with them, or taking them to the nearby dog park if the owner allows that. For mental stimulation, I like to play games with the dogs. I will play hide and seek with treats/toys depending on their motivation, and I have a number of doggie puzzles that we can play. I also like to go through the dogs tricks and trainings with them. I’ve found that dogs are happiest when they think they are doing a good job and pleasing their humans.
