Hi, my name’s Lauren! I’m a U.S. Air Force veteran, Speech-Language Pathologist, and current Army Reservist, but my passion has always been for animals.  I have two babies of my own, Darla and Maggie. They are truly family and I understand the anxiety that comes with putting your pets in someone else’s hands. That’s why SAFETY is the #1 most important factor that I consider when your animals are in my care. Anyone who knows me would vouch that I am completely obsessive about the safety of any animals in my care.

Some additional information regarding safety measure and what you can expect: -Your dog will be supervised at ALL times when in the backyard. The yard is securely fenced, but I will still never leave your pet alone outside. -Your dog will never be off-leash when they are on a walk with me. I am obsessive about making sure the leash is securely fastened at all times. For dogs that pull during walks, I will often use a special leash that attaches to both the harness and the collar for increased control and safety. -I am Dog/Cat CPR and First Aid certified — I’m aware of the signs of heat stroke, bloat, seizure, etc. and will never force a dog to walk when it does not seem safe. -I will send you multiple photos/videos and updates for your peace of mind. Also you are welcome to text me for an update at any time!

-How does your dog behave around cats and other dogs? I have one dog (a low-energy, 9 yr old Border Collie mix) and one cat who likes dogs that don’t try to eat her. -Where is your dog used to sleeping -- floor, crate, bed, etc? -Is your dog allowed to have treats? If so, any favorites?
A typical day
A typical day at my house will consist of spending time playing in the backyard and snuggling up on the couch relaxing. We can also go on walks around the neighborhood or my favorite — go for a run (or walk) on the Riverwalk! I have multiple doggy enrichment toys to keep your pup busy and I have a certification in Dog Enrichment from Instinct Dog Behavior & Training.

Availability
I have the flexibility to be home as much as I would like each day. I may step out to the grocery store or another brief errand, but your pet will not spend all day alone. Your pet be the #1 focus of my attention when in my care. Check out my Instagram, @woofpacksa, for more pictures!
