Pet care experience
I have been informally pet-sitting since high school. At home I have been the proud owner of a myriad of animals including birds, rodents, reptiles, dogs, cats, chickens and a horse. After graduating college I had an internship at the zoo and gained experience taking care of exotic animals as I was involved with the hoofstock team. Since then I have been sitting through a professional service for a couple of years, and am just now striking it on my own. I have dealt with a range of animals and have sat for dogs, cats, horses and chickens. Aside from visits, I can also provide walking services as well as feeding, watering, medicating, and cleaning up for your pets. I have plenty of experience with large and small animals and would be flexible to suit your needs!

Laura took care of our whole house, pets, and plants while we were gone for a week. She did a great job! We got updates twice a day with pictures, and when we came home the house was cleaner than we left it. Highly recommended!
Laura was great with my pups. She sent photos everyday with updates about how all the dogs were doing. She even convineced my unfriendly little dogs, who don’t like anyone but me, to snuggle with her. She was amazing!

Information Laura S. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know basic information about the visits before sitting for anybody. Such information includes the location of their food and water as well as cleaning supplies and walking gear. I would like to know if the client wants walks for their visits or not, and if so how many times a day, how long the walk should be, and how the dog behaves on leash. In inclement weather, would we still need to go out for a walk or just a quick bathroom break? Where are the towels located so that they can be dried off after? I would also like to know if there are any alarm systems/fobs and how that should be handled as well as key hand-offs.
A typical day
For walks, I will take your pet anywhere around the neighborhood or to a nearby dog park if there is one available! I will not let your pet off leash and will avoid other people and dogs on our walk to ensure everyone's safety! At their home, I will provide playtime with your pet as well as any feeding/watering or medication needs.
