I have been a house sitter, pet sitter, and dog walker for friends and family for years. When I house sit, I make sure to spend the majority of my time at home with the pets. I know how much they miss their owners, and I know that constant love and attention from a hooman is the best way to calm any separation anxiety. I talk to the pets I am watching, I play with them, I cuddle with them. For the time I am with your pets, they are my main focus, my best buds. Having had my own pets in the past, I know the care I wanted them to have while I was away. I make sure to give that kind of care and more to the pets I am watching.

Amazing as always!
Laura went above and beyond. She not only took incredible care of our needy 16 week old puppy but she took care of me and my anxiety as I left him for a few days for a family wedding. It was so obvious how much she cared about our dog and how much time she spent with him. We are so so grateful for her! We came home to a happy puppy and an incredibly clean and well kept house.
Laura was amazing with my dog and home. I have a high energy dog and she was so sweet with him. My dog was happy & tired and my house was clean! It’s hard to find a caring, trusting person but I’m so thankful to have found Laura. We will definitely be booking with Laura again!

When caring for your pets in your home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine and patterns of care. If they normally sleep with you, I'm more than happy to have them sleep with me. If they go in the crate at night when you're home, that's the plan I stick to while you're gone. If they have a strict feeding schedule, I set alarms to make sure it's followed. And I always make sure to give them lots of attention and love. I don't have anyone else over while I'm staying in a client's home unless I get explicit permission beforehand, and I take care to leave your home in the same if not better condition than you left it in. I'm always available via text for check-ins.

I like to be aware of any quirks your dogs may have. Do they have an unusual spot they like to hide or hang out during the day? Do they have a foot injury that sometimes acts up and I should keep an eye out for? Will they only eat out of a specific bowl? It's also important to me to know how they interact with other dogs, specifically so if we encounter one on a walk, I'm able to handle it appropriately.
A typical day
I enjoy engaging with your dogs in their favorite activities, whether that's long walks, playing fetch with a ball until they're too tired to keep going, tug of war, or playing with their favorite toys.

I work remotely, so I have the flexibility to either stay at your home with your pets or stop by multiple times a day to feed, walk, and play with them.
