I've always been a nut for dogs, have always had dogs and treat them as family members. My husband complains that our dogs eat better than he does. We love cats too and all other animsls/pets too! We are known in our neighborhood as dog lovers and dog sit when people are away. I only use positive communication techniques and am always reading dog books to increase my knowledge. I am currently exploring certification programs so I can become an animal/canine behaviorist to better serve and understand dogs. In my volunteer work, I've discovered a love and talent for working with shy/abused dogs. Our environment is pretty close to doggie heaven. Our two dogs and usually one foster dog from a local shelter, have a large fenced yard and full access to the house via a doggie door. I feed them twice a day and they go on a mile walk every day. I work from home so they are rarely alone more than a few hours. My husband works days and some evenings.
