Dedicated dog-loving couple!

Pet care experience

Hello! We are Laura and Ryan, a dog-loving (and dog-owning) couple in downtown Brooklyn. We've both owned dogs our entire lives, and currently, own a 6-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer. (We sadly lost our 15-year-old Brussels Griffon in March.) We've both worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes, from high-energy sporting breeds, like my own, to relaxed couch potatoes. Additionally, Laura has 20+ years of high-level equestrian experience: this education translates into a calm, detail-oriented nature, and also experience in first aid, medication (both IM and IV) and general healthcare for our four-legged friends of all species. We practice positive reinforcement training techniques with our dogs at home and are happy to work with your dog if you desire. Both of our dogs are clicker-trained through positive methods. We have lots of fun but focus on great city manners and calmness in all situations, even around children and other dogs. Our attention to detail, dedication, and caring nature ensure your dog will have a great time at our home!

Laura and Ryan were fabulous with my pup, Birdie! We met at the park to make sure our dogs got along (they did), and they took her back to their place for daycare. They sent photos once she got settled in their home, and they dropped her off at the end of the day. Thank you for taking such great care of my girl!

Laura was wonderful! Our dog tends to be shy around new people, but Laura is very professional and was able to get him to warm up to her quickly. She’s very kind and accommodating!

We booked Laura for a walk we’ll in advance and on the day of service didn’t hear anything from her at all.

Laura and Ryan were amazing hosts for our dog. They were incredibly flexible with our drop off and pick up time, and were so thoughtful of our elderly dog’s needs. Even when our dog had a tough time adjusting, they were very patient and understanding. Would recommend them to any dog parent!
