Hi! I am a dog lover who recently moved to DC from Spokane, WA. I grew up in Alaska with Siberian Huskies and enjoyed dog mushing, skijoring, and everything outdoors with them. I live a very active life and would be happy to incorporate that in my dog sitting. I am an Actuary by trade but always jumped at the opportunity to walk or sit a friends' pet; so five years ago I left the corporate world to become a full time dog walker! When I'm not walking dogs I can usually be found on a soccer field or a yoga mat. I've had clients all over Philadelphia & Spokane and am excited to explore DC with new dog walking opportunities. I can't wait to spend time with your dog!

Laura was wonderful! My dog Rosie is usually pretty anxious when I go out of town. Laura sent updates with pictures frequently (and my dog looked so happy!), which made me feel way more comfortable :)
Laura was fantastic with my dog. She was able to squeeze in some drop in visits for me at the last minute and my dog warmed up to her right away! They were quickly fast friends. She was extremely responsive and also handled an issue with my front door in a very professional way, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Laura for your dog-sitting needs. She will put your mind at ease so you can be worry free when away from your pet!
Laura is great! She was super flexible and accommodating for a last minute weekend stay with my not-quite-potty-trained puppy and my old lady dog who is still getting used to a puppy in the house. Laura is great with the dogs, communicative and reliable. Highly recommend!

I am a very detail oriented person, so when a client informs me of specific habits or ways of doing things for their dog, I abide by it. Keeping the dog's routine as close to normal will benefit everyone :)

Any special needs or quirky habits your dog has would be helpful to know ahead of time. Also if there is anything we may come across that the dog doesn't like (for example, bicycles or people wearing hats)
A typical day
I love exploring new places, and since all of the DC neighborhoods are new to me I would love to explore them with the dogs I walk. I live an active lifestyle and I love to incorporate dogs I board/watch into that.

Unfortunately I am unable to accept recurring walks at this time. But I can do multi-day walks over specified time frames. I prefer to have meet&greets ahead of time but if you’re in need of a last minute walk we can make it work!
