Hi! My name is Laura P. I’m 30 years old, and live at The Channel Club In Island Park where almost everyone has a pup! We have a gated in dog run with toys, fresh water etc. I have experience with large breeds (pit bulls, dobermans and the like) and smaller mixed breeds like my current puppy Maverick, who is 5 months old. I also volunteer at Ruff House Rescue and have helped to train dogs as a side hobby. Maverick requires many walks / playtime throughout the day given his age, it would be great for him to have a friend along side of us. I will only accept dogs that are dog friendly. Please, no exceptions. I will only accept a dog if I am working from home that day, which will be roughly 4 days during the work week !

Laura is amazing! She took the best care of our 9 week old puppy. She sent a bunch of photos, videos, and updates during the visit. She is also AMAZING at puppy training and took the time to teach our baby new tricks. She also went out of her way and gave me a call after the visit to give me pointers regarding different aspects of training that we are struggling with. Would highly recommend!!
I would highly recommend Laura to be a dog walker/sitter. She absolutely loves dogs and is so wonderful with them ! She’s a great trainer as well - she’s training her puppy to all kinds of tricks. She is a warm loving person and anyone would be lucky to have her spend some time with their dog 🙂
Hands down the best, most responsible and caring pet owner/ caregiver. Dogs gravitate towards and always listen to Laura. You can rest assured your fur baby would be in the most capable hands.. and will probably learn some new tricks as well.
Laura is great with all animals! We call her the dog whisperer. She has watched my dog and my families dogs many times. She takes special care to make sure the dogs were well taken care of and happy. She sends pictures and videos and sends them to me to show me how they are doing . She is very responsible and I would and have referred her to friends for dog care. She takes care of them as if they were her own. The dogs love staying with her. They get excited when I say to them lets go see Laura. I would definitely recommend her to take care of furry friends!

A typical day
The squeakier the toy, the better & I have tons of them!! Any fur friend that I watch can expect to have a safe, fully supervised day with me and my dog Maverick. We go for lots of walks, play in the dog park located in my complex. I have a mix of hardwood floors and carpet and always keep my place cool in the summer with central AC, and heat in the winter, of course.
