I am 54, married and have 2 kids who are 21 & 28. Growing up I have had so many pets and lucky that my parents had the love for animals that they shared and that led to me loving them so much as well! 4H was a big part of my life so we had cats, dogs, goats, rabbits and a hog. I shared that with my kids & we currently have 2 cats but you never see them. Every dog has a need & a personality just like every child does. I am very good at picking up Almost 2 years ago we adopted a puppy from our friend Denise G, also a Rover.com provider, who fosters and sits so many dogs. It was a hard decision to make after losing our Maggie but I can't imagine our life without her. I have seen how much good Denise does and although I can't foster I want to provide a place that pet parents can trust. I was a single parent and had so many issues with people I trusted my kids with. The same thing applies to our furbabies. There are very few people I would trust to take care of mine so I want to be one of those caregivers that can be trusted because they give us so much joy and laughter! I know First Aid/CPR fpr people so am getting trained for dogs!
