I have taken care of dogs and cats from a very young age. I have experience in giving medications after working at a vet hospital and owning multiple dogs, cats, and horses. I have experience with training and working with difficult dogs and cats and I am comfortable walking a dog of any size. My experience during my PhD taught me to be very detail oriented and ensure health and that all animal needs are met which I apply to each pet visit.

The most important information for me to know is the activity level of the dog, how they behave around other animals, if they have an specific training issues during walks, or if they need special considerations while walking. I am also happy to administer medication if given directions.
A typical day
I enjoy providing dogs with plenty of exercise but can also do mentally stimulating exercises to help with hyperactivity and decrease anxiety. Typically I do sniffing games of finding kibble or pre approved treats. I usually try to complete 1-2 miles during a walk or do a shorter walk with mentally stimulating exercises during it.

Availability
I am currently working full time but am in town. This allows me for pet visits before work, over lunch, and after work. I am also available most weekends. I have reliable transportation to travel to you for home visits or walks.
