I understand that adequate mental and physical exercise are key to making sure a dog is not bored and is ready to relax. I grew up with dogs and currently have a young English Pointer with whom I'm training for scent work and agility. My dog is playful with other dogs and looking forward to making new friends. If your dog is friendly with other dogs, he/she will get plenty of playtime with my dog in the apartment complex dog park. I can also do one-on-one play sessions with your pooch if that works best for your dog. I also give walks around our neighborhood. In addition, I work in some mental stimulation as well, either learning a new trick or earning part of their meals through a puzzle toy. I have taken multiple classes in dog training and behavior and will set boundaries in my house so your dog(s) does not learn bad habits. I use positive training techniques and shaping to enforce boundaries. The boundaries I set are: sitting and waiting for the release cue when going through outside doors, no jumping on people, and no counter-surfing. Please let me know if you would prefer I don't do these with your dog. In addition, dogs are not allowed on furniture in my home. I have comfy beds and carpet throughout for them to relax on and I will usually sit on the floor with them so we can snuggle, if they are into that. I am only accepting one client a day so your dog(s) will get lots of individual attention and I can cater to your dog's needs or your desires. Dogs will receive breaks from play and will be fed in separate areas. I have additional large crates, both wire and soft crates, or you can bring your dog's own crates. I also have baby gates so that if your dog doesn't do well in crates they can be sectioned off into a separate room for eating.
