Hello! I'm Laura. I'm 20 years old, living in the Dexter-Ann Arbor area. I work online as a high school student so I have tons of free time. I love animals more than people, especially my Border Collie Husky Mix, Bentley, who I have taken care of for about 7 years, as well as my cat Frankie, and my many chickens! I'd love to have a furry friend by my side when I take walks and jogs. I especially love bigger dogs, have experience with puppies, sick and elderly dogs, and small dogs are a blast, too! I have a cat at home, and have taken care of as many as 7 cats at one time! I am very flexible and will do my best to accommodate any needs you and your pets may have during the hours I'm available. I am experienced in giving my dogs and cats medication (pill form), and can feed and water your pets, as well as let them out to pee as frequently as needed. If your dog is comfortable with other dogs, or you would prefer your dog to have a friend on walks, my dog, Bentley, is extremely friendly and can be happily added to the group as longs as they're compatible. If I take care of your fur baby, they'll get undivided constant love and attention! I go to Ypsilanti for online school work Tuesday-Friday for a few hours between (flexibly) 10:30am-3:30pm. I cannot do walks or check ins before 10:30am, any time after that I can discuss!

Laura just took care of my 2 dogs for a week in my home. She was the best sitter I EVER had! My dogs were so content when we got home. It's like we never left! Plus my house was neat and clean when we got home. My german Shepherd sheds a TON! But hardly any hair anywhere! Laura is a kind and gentle person and great with animals! Can't wait to have her sit again! Thank you Rover for bringing her to us!
Laura was fantastic with our 2 dogs and 2 cats. She managed the pet relationships perfectly, especially the annoying task of keeping the two dogs separated from each other. The house was in perfect order when I returned, and the pets were happy and loved!
Laura is the dog whisperer! My dog (Molly) is afraid of everything and everyone, which makes vacationing problematic. The first time Molly and Laura met, Molly warmed right up to her. Laura sent us pictures while we were away and it looked like Molly had settled right in with Laura. Laura is very responsive both before and during her stay. We've already booked her for our next mini vacation.
Laura did a wonderful job with our house and dogs while we were out of the country. My husband and I feel so much more comfortable traveling knowing our dog pack is well cared for and spoiled while we are gone!

I would like to know if your dog has trouble in cars (my dog gets anxious and sometimes pukes), if they are timid or aggressive around other dogs, have separation anxiety, destructive behaviors, or if there are any other special needs that may be important for me to take into account when walking or spending time with your pooch (or cat). Do they have bad habits? What are they trained to do? For over night stays, I'd love to know what rules you have in place for your dog (no sleeping on the bed, no begging, bed time, etc) and what their habits are for potty breaks and meals. If you'd like me to help give oral medications, please have thorough written directions!
A typical day
My favorite place to walk dogs is at the Dexter border to border trail on the Huron River, dog parks, the Arboretum, on designated trails, or close by home if your dog has trouble in cars or is more comfortable in familiar spaces. If your dog loves playing fetch, lets throw some toys! I give lots and lots of belly rubs, attention, and tug of war. As for cats, I can provide catnip, cuddles, daily wet food, water, treats, play time, and watch them outside or walk them.
