Hello! I am a 26 year old firefighter/paramedic living in Grottoes VA. I lost my beloved mutt (pictured in my profile) to cancer 4 years ago and, while I'm not quite ready to get a new pet, I have so much love to give to all the wonderful pets out there! I grew up on a small farm and have had all sorts of animals my entire life. Growing up we had birds, snakes, rabbits, chinchillas, horses, cows, and lots of cats and dogs. My mom is a veterinarian and I often have to help her with caring for sick animals. I trained both of my childhood dogs in obedience and agility. I also spent a lot of time volunteering at local animal shelters working with the animals to get them adopted. Additionally, I love taking candid photos of animals and am happy to share them with you. I would love to have the opportunity to care for your pet! I work a unique schedule since I am employed part time while I'm back in nursing school, but will try to update my availability as often as possible! I live near Grottoes Town Park and would be happy to take them all around the area for walks and adventures with little to no time alone during the day. If requested, I can also bathe, and brush your pet. If you have a special needs or older pet, I have experience using dog wheelchairs and administering medications, and will work with you to ensure a safe and positive experience for your dog. All dogs must be house trained since I am now renting a room in a private home. I was always hesitant to leave my dog with someone I did not know. I will assure you, that I would treat your beloved pet like my own (using your rules of course) and make sure that they are happy and you are at ease when on vacation or at work!
