Pet care experience
I love dogs, had my beloved yellow lab for 14 years, have 3 grandogs whom I dog sit for occasionally. I also have a dog portrait business, bowwow portraits. I live in an area with scenic walking opportunities for my canine friends. As a retired teacher, I am available to dog sit and dog walk 4 days a week, and most weekends. Currently I do not own a dog, and would love to offer my love of dogs to care for Rover clients. I am in excellent health, my husband also loves dogs, and we are ready and willing to open our home and hearts to dogs in need of day care and walking. I love watching Dog Whisperer and recently attended the Goshen Dog Show.

Laura loves all animals and will see a toad and say “hi sweetie”. But dogs and cats are her favorities. She believes in exercise, fresh air, cleanliness, and lots of affection. Laura loves talking to dogs and cats. She’s also serious about their health and safety.
Laura would a wonderful energetic addition to Rover. She loves dogs - is able to “listen” and respond to their needs. Great addition to Rover.
Laura can handle any type of dog including quirky ones who try to eat passing bicycles. I know this because she has walked my good friend Jack for the past 7+years. She seeks out the best routes and gives a detailed report on how he did. 5 stars.
Laura is literally the only person we have ever trusted to walk our dogs, besides us. I know she is a frequent dogwalker for a local shelter, so I can trust that she will be both cautious and confident when meeting a new pup. I also know when her own yellow lab started aging Laura did everything she could to improve her quality of life, and through her dog portrait work has the natural ability to capture a dog's personality-- just an all around great dog person.

I do prefer calm and not hyper dogs. I will only accept house trained dogs for boarding in my home. I adore labradors since I owned one myself for 14 years, but really love all dogs. I have an elderly cat who gets along fine with dogs, and if you board your dog with me she/ he should get along with a cat, or at least ignore Jaxon.
A typical day
I have a large yard to play catch with dog clients, we live near a beautiful park with miles of trails, and near our small town with sidewalks for interesting walk opportunities.
