Pet care experience
I am a current member of the Animal Rescue Team and Policy Team at the Humane Society for the United States where I help rescue animals from extreme cruelty and fight for their rights at state and federal levels. I am also on the animal shelter team at the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County where I work with a variety of animals. I've personally owned animals for 29 years. I have had personal experience with Great Danes, Huskies, Poodles (standard and smaller), cats, horses, ferrets, snakes, etc. Additionally, I was in 4-H for 4 years where I was responsible for the care, health, and safety of lambs and prepared them for showmanship at a local country fair in my home state. As a former NCAA athlete I can easily keep up with any athletic animal. I also enjoy yoga and can definitely mellow out with a laid-back animal as well. All animals welcome! I am trained in human CPR and Pet CPR. I also have a Pet First Aid Kit. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have about me, my experience, or my services.

Laura did a great job with my dog Leo. She came by 3 times for a 30 minutes walk over the course of a week. Good communication and Leo had no complaints ☺️
Laura and Dean were absolutely amazing when they dog sat for us in our home for 2 weeks and cared for not only our 2 pups, but our cat as well! They updated us every day with photos and videos of our babies. They cuddled with them on our couch and were constantly playing with them outside making sure they were getting enough exercise for the day. They were such down to earth/kind people that loved on our babies like we would, we felt so comfortable with them making our house their home. We already have them booked again for Thanksgiving weekend which puts us at ease knowing they’ll be in great hands again!

A typical day
Your pet can be taken on runs, walks through parks or friendly neighborhoods. We can play fetch, Frisbee, do agility drills, hiking, racing, tracking, visiting other pets (if he/she likes that!), and much more! Whatever your dog likes to do, I probably will too!

I am currently working part-time and remotely, so I will have plenty of time for any animal! I am open to discuss a schedule regarding the needs for the animals.
