I’m Laura. My love of animals, particularly dogs and horses, started at a very young age. My pet care experience began when I started volunteering at local animal shelters and pet sat for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs, cats, horses and more while they were away. I have worked with pets of many different species, breeds, ages, and temperaments. I am currently pursuing several certifications and training programs in animal care. When it comes to pet care, I’m very confident in my experience and knowledge. I have owned dogs my entire life. I currently have a 13-year-old Rat Terrier mix who I found abandoned on the side of the road as well as a six-year-old Poodle-Terrier mix who I adopted from a shelter. They both have unique personalities and challenge me in different ways. I always joke that our house belongs to the dogs, and that they just allow us to live here with them. My home is very large with a securely fenced yard where the pups are able to run around and play. Our floor plan allows us to have the four-legged tenants centrally located, but we can also separate them if needed. Rover is my sole job, and I’m home most of the day. I’ve always been someone that people turn to when they need someone to care for their animals. This made the decision to pursue pet sitting an easy one. I lead with love and compassion, and I care for each dog as if they are my own.
