Hi! I am an experienced, large-dog owner and past animal rescue volunteer. I have a female yellow lab (12 years old). I am married to my husband Brad (who helps with my Rovering, also) and have two kids. My husband and I volunteered for Nashville PITTIE for several years and have fostered countless numbers of dogs, including puppies and senior dogs. I feed my dogs, and any visiting dogs, separately to prevent any food aggression. Also, my children are not in the area of where the dogs eat. All pups are meal-fed, as opposed to free-feeding, to ensure each pup eats their own food. Toy playing is monitored, as well. It's my job to provide your pup with a safe and comfortable stay, and to provide you with peace of mind that your pup is in good hands while you're away. Outside time is available for your dog (other than to potty), if you wish. Additionally, I do take into consideration the summer heat and limit outside playtime to early morning or late afternoon, if warranted. Please note, for visiting dogs' safety, I do prefer to crate visiting dogs if I am away from the house. If you do not have a crate, I can provide one for your pup. :) Crating is minimal, as I do work from home. I recommend bringing your pup their bed or favorite blanket, as that seems to help them settle in. Also, please don't forget to completely fill out your dog's Rover profile - feeding instructions, emergency contact, medication instructions, etc. I am available for meet-and-greets most evenings after 6:00 pm and most weekends.
